What is the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Learning?

We, as a society, have always heard of the inevitable artificial intelligence takeover, but have students in higher education ever considered what this might mean for their education?

Today, there is easy access to all the artificial intelligence students may find useful for their studies. This AI includes anything from generating an entire, unique, essay to creating a summary of a lecture you may not have paid much attention to. These tools are very easy to take advantage of and take a matter of seconds to complete the task at hand - which is all very tempting to the average university/college student. Although many may argue AI is being used to the detriment of students, there are many ways in which it can be looked at through a positive lens.
