Artificial Intelligence Tools for Higher Learning

 

The phenomenon known as Artificial Intelligence has radically altered how students will go about completing assignments in higher education. AI has the capability to improve education in a university setting as it can provide shortcuts such as tutoring, testing, and automated grading. Artificial Intelligence can also be of assistance in situations where a student can not reach their professor, or find answers to questions via Google. Of course ChatGPT won’t be able to answer questions such as “What is the word count for my essay”? but it is possible to ask “How do I write a thesis statement”? or “Provide feedback on my opening paragraph”.

It is very common for students to become burnt out or be stumped on ideas and need some assistance with getting their thoughts in order. Artificial Intelligence can provide different topics pertaining to your area of studies as well as provide analysis relevant to your chosen topic. AI also has the tools to aid in time management; AI programs have the capability to provide reminders, set deadlines, simulate study sessions, and help with avoiding procrastination. With AI and ChatGPT, written work can be analyzed to detect any evidence of plagiarism, ultimately avoiding any conflict with the program TurnItIn. Artificial Intelligence programs can also review students’ assignments for any grammatical and punctuational errors, ultimately resulting in students’ success.
